A SIMION FLY file defines one or more groups of particles, where the parameters of the particles in each group are related by a constant delta (e.g. x=1, x=5, x=9, x=14, ...). FLY files are intended as a convenience for creating a sequence of particles and are less general than the ION File. A FLY file is also a binary file, unlike ION files and therefore is less convenient to create from an external program.
